No. 09-Exam/2026) for the recruitment of Vidhan Bhawan Rakshak (Legislative Assembly Guard) and Vidhan Bhawan Agnirakshak/Fireman posts. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 170 vacancies under the Secretariat Administration Department, Uttar Pradesh.

Online applications will be accepted from 09 June 2026 to 29 June 2026. Only those candidates who have appeared in the UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 and possess a valid PET score card are eligible to apply. Educational Qualification

  1. Essential Qualification: Candidates must have passed Intermediate (10+2) examination from a recognized board in Uttar Pradesh or an equivalent qualification recognized by the government.
  2. UPSSSC PET 2025 Score Card: Only those candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 and possess a valid score card issued by UPSSSC can apply.
  3. Preference (Additional Qualification): If two candidates have equal merit, preference will be given to candidates who have:
    • Served in the Territorial Army for at least 2 years
    • OR possess an NCC ‘B’ Certificate

  1. Shortlisting based on PET 2025 Score: Candidates will be shortlisted for the written examination based on their normalized score in UPSSSC PET 2025. Candidates with zero or negative marks in PET 2025 will not be shortlisted.
  2. Written Examination: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written exam consisting of 100 objective-type questions (100 marks) of 2 hours duration. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
  3. Physical Standards Test (PST): Candidates who qualify in the written exam will undergo physical measurement (height, chest for males, height and weight for females). This is qualifying in nature.
  4. Document Verification: Verification of original educational, category, and other supporting certificates.
  5. Final Merit List: Prepared based on the performance in the written examination, subject to qualifying the physical standards test.

Job Profile

  • Vidhan Bhawan Rakshak (Legislative Assembly Guard): Responsible for the security of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly premises in Lucknow. Duties include access control, perimeter security, surveillance, maintaining law and order within the Assembly complex, and ensuring the safety of legislators, staff, and visitors.
  • Vidhan Bhawan Agnirakshak / Fireman: Responsible for fire safety and emergency response within the Legislative Assembly complex.   • Step 11: After successful fee payment and adjustment, your application will be automatically submitted.
