- Preliminary Examination: Objective type test of 120 questions (3 marks each) for 2 hours. Subjects: General Studies (30), Jharkhand State Knowledge (60), General Mathematics (10), General Science (10), Mental Ability (10).
- Mains Examination: Three papers (Language Knowledge, Regional/Tribal Language, General Knowledge). Paper-I is qualifying (30% minimum marks). Paper-II & III determine merit.
