The Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeosciences (BSIP), Lucknow, an autonomous research institute under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, has released the official notification (Advertisement No. BSIP/SCI-B/01/2026) for the recruitment of Scientist ‘B’ posts. Special Note for Previous Applicants

Candidates who had already applied for the post of Scientist ‘B’ under Advertisement No. BSIP/S&A/02/2023 dated 14.02.2023:

• Their previous application is still valid and will be considered.
• They are mandatorily required to fill out and submit the online application form again .
• They do not need to pay the application fee again .
• If they do not submit the online form within the prescribed time, their candidature will not be considered.

Note: Usual allowances as per rules of the Institute (Government of India pattern) are admissible .

Selection Process

• Shortlisting: Applications will be screened by a Screening Committee. Only candidates recommended by the Committee will be called for the personal interview .
• Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview .
• Document Verification: Verification of original educational, experience, and category certificates.
• Medical Examination: As per Institute rules for final selection.
