The vacancies are divided into two main categories:

Selection Process

Joining the CRPF requires clearing several stages to ensure you are physically and mentally fit:

  1. CBT (Computer Based Test): A 100-mark written exam.
  2. PST/PET: Physical Standard and Efficiency Tests (Running, Height, Chest).
  3. Trade Test: Practical test of your chosen trade (e.g., Cooking, Driving).
  4. Document Verification: Checking of original certificates.
  5. Medical Examination: Final health check-up.

Physical Test (PET) Details

Candidates must meet the following running requirements:

  • Male Candidates: 5 km run in 24 minutes (for most trades).
  • Female Candidates: 1.6 km run in 8.5 minutes.(Note: Criteria may vary slightly depending on specific technical posts).

CBT Exam Pattern (100 Marks)

The written exam will be objective type with a duration of 2 hours:

  • Reasoning: 25 Questions
  • General Knowledge: 25 Questions
  • Mathematics: 25 Questions
  • English/Hindi: 25 Questions
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
