Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a Miniratna company and subsidiary of Coal India Limited, has released the official notification for engagement of Graduate, Diploma, Trade, and Paramedical Apprentice Trainees for the FY 2026-27. A total of 1607 apprentice opportunities have been announced across various disciplines. The training will be for one year under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Candidates who have passed their required qualification from recognized institutions located in Uttar Pradesh or Madhya Pradesh are eligible to apply. • Graduate Apprentices: Degree in relevant discipline from recognized University (full-time regular course).

• Candidates with prior apprenticeship or 1+ year job experience are not eligible.
• Higher qualification over prescribed is not eligible.

Passing Percentage Calculation:

• CGPA/GPA must be converted to equivalent percentage (up to two decimal points).
• Rounding off is not considered (49.99% = less than 50%).

Selection Process

Selection is based on merit only. No written exam or interview.

2. Merit List Preparation – Based on qualifying examination marks.
   • Graduate: Marks in Degree
   • Diploma: Marks in Diploma
